We are excited to announce our new partnership with UCSF Benioff Children’s Physicians (UBCP) starting January 11, 2022!

We are excited to let all our SEBPMG families know that through this partnership we will be implementing electronic medical records starting Tuesday 1/11/2022. Our entire staff has been working very hard to learn and transition to a completely new medical chart and scheduling system. Despite our hard work, there are bound to be some hiccups along the way. Please be patient with us in the next few months as we navigate this new system.

We believe this change will allow us to provide even better integrated care for our patients. During the short transition period, non-emergency appointments may be scheduled further out than usual. Rest assured we will continue to provide you with the highest quality of care. Urgent care visits will be prioritized and will not be impacted

As the premiere pediatric provider in the East Bay for the last 40 years, we will remain an independent private practice. You will continue to see the same familiar faces and we will continue to provide you with the same great individualized care you have come to expect of us. Why are you partnering with UCSF?

In today’s environment of “big box” healthcare (Stanford, PAMF, Kaiser), it has become increasingly difficult for smaller practices to stay independent and continue to provide the personalized care our patients enjoy. Our partnership with UCSF provides stability and enhances our ability to provide premiere care in a personalized environment while maintaining our independence. This partnership will still allow us to remain an independent private practice.

Will there be new providers at the office?

No. Our providers and staff will remain the same.

What Insurance plans will you accept?

We will accept all of the plans we already accept and more! For a comprehensive list please visit our website. You can also call your insurance plan and confirm that you are in network with “Bay Children’s Physicians” Tax ID #47-1370520

How about billing?

As an affiliate of UCSF Benioff Children’s Physician (UBCP), any visit starting 1/11/2022 will be billed and statements will be sent via our new joint billing system. So for a short period of time you may be getting statements from our old billing system (for services rendered on and before 1/10/22) as well as our new billing system (for service provided on and after 1/11/22).

What do I need to do?

You will want to create a MyChart account ASAP (and be patient with us!). Please visit the UCSF Health website for further instruction. A MyChart account will allow you to:

• Send a message to the office staff or your provider
• Request Refills
• See lab results
• Receive post-visit summaries
• Request appointments
